A Unique Approach – Not another forgettable anatomy course!
Every muscle has a name, most quite strange and hard to commit to memory. But every muscle also has a story. In fact, every muscle and every little part of us, are in constant starring roles in a multitude of stories. Sometimes, little tiny hardly known muscles are the villains. At other times, groups of weakly linked muscles come together in support to save the day. You can be sure that inside of every injury, every moment of biomechanical achievement, every breath, stories are being told and spun into our body’s tissues. And every body holds different stories. Though we all have the same characters, the same Anatomy, the stories each body spins are as unique as snowflakes.
This is an Anatomy class that reveres the story more than the name. It’s easier to remember the name when you can’t forget the story.
Additionally, it is an experiential anatomy class that educates the mind through the body. Everything we learn about, we will also touch within ourselves and understand in relation to the Forrest Yoga Practice. This class is a study of the dynamic relationships within our Anatomy and how we use Forrest Yoga to address the different needs, injuries, stories within.
