Denise began her yoga journey after 13 years in the NYC fashion industry and two weeks after the devastation of the September 11th tragedy. Stressed and unhappy at work, yoga became her saving grace and helped her heal from years of deep seated emotional wounds . In 2005, she made the gut decision to complete a Forrest yoga training, which changed her life and her professional trajectory. Since training under founder Ana Forrest, she’s found an inner strength which birthed new confidence, passion, and an array of feelings. Denise learned the skills she needed to let go of old behavior patterns, which used to set her up for being walked on. Denise has spent her teaching career guiding others to find peace through the body mind connection.
Her teaching style is direct and empathic. She draws from her experience with hands-on healing (Craniosacral Therapy), passion for injury healing and love of anatomy. It's her mission that each student feel seen and self-empowered.
