Forrest Yoga is specifically designed to help people move the trauma of everyday living out of their body in an intelligent gradual way. The system also addresses more acute trauma over time. The basic moves of the system, the sequencing and design of a typical class and how the teachers learn to speak and touch all contribute to this process. In this workshop we spend the first 30 minutes outlining how the Forrest Yoga system addresses trauma. Next is a full asana class with a focus on hip opening and inversions, giving students the opportunity to embody these principles.

Forrest Yoga Guardians are the highest level of Forrest Teachers in the world – hand picked and specially trained by Ana Forrest, the Guardians are charged with carrying on the legacy of Forrest Yoga, & training future Forrest Yoga Teachers. Heidi is one of only two Forrest Guardians currently teaching the Forrest Yoga Foundational 200-Hour Teacher Training!
