Functional Anatomy of Intrinsic Stabilisers
10:30-1pm and 2-4:30 pm
This workshop is divided into 2 sections that are designed to help practitioners have an experiential immersion into understanding how to breathe beyond yoga pranayama, asana and living.
The intrinsic core stabilisers are less used in breathing and basic human movement patterns because we are expected to use other structures to attain beautiful poses. Learning how to work with the stabilisers that enable you to exist within this world builds a firmer foundation on how to live, as well as add movement or weight to your preferred patterns.
Learning how to use the intrinsic stabilisers enables practitioners to mindfully self-diagnose the true capacity of movement and breath, thus the foundations are set to add more ranges of movement or weight bearing activities.
Am: Yoga Ceremony, Forrest Yoga practise on core, back bends and inversions.
Pm: short lectures on Intrinsic Stabilisers with Hands On Assists and Q&A on personal challenges within your yoga practice and how to trouble shoot them. The more of your own injuries and challenges you bring to the table, the more we all learn.
