Workshop 1: Revitalise
Date: 27 October 2017 (Friday)
Time: 6:00pm – 8:30pm
The sedentary and frenetic pace of modern living contributes to our stress levels and causes our bodies to be stiff, often overweight and generally unhealthy. The body also harbors the lasting effects of negative experiences like pain, fear and loss within its cell tissue. In this session, experience how yoga can cleanse, purify and refresh. Wash away tension and clear internal blockages. Begin incorporating greater fitness, flexibility and joy into your life.
Workshop 2: Building the Warrior Heart
Date: 28 October 2017 (Saturday)
Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm
With Forrest Yoga’s heart-opening asanas, you learn to breathe in a way that opens your core and gives the heart the support and counsel of the rest of the primary charkas. Learn to remove the emotional shielding from your heart so it can truly and honestly feel each new experience afresh. This helps your heart and Spirit be more resilient, flexible and adept at surfing emotional waves. Begin building skill in accessing, cleansing and resolving emotional issues and move them out of the cell tissue, thus freeing your heart. This makes room for seeing and absorbing the beauty and sweetness in our world, which nourishes the heart.
Workshop 3: Stalk your Fear
Date: 28 October 2017 (Saturday)
Time: 2:30pm – 5:00pm
How does fear affect you? Interested in learning how to change your relationship to fear? Fear is a powerful emotion that dictates our decisions and hinders us from making good choices. Fear can lead to anxiety, despair and depression. Forrest Yoga teaches you a different way to relate and work with fear. It teaches you to use fear as a warning call, to listen, be alert and proceed cautiously. Fear does not have to be something that paralyzes you. In this session you will use breath and asana to access, comfort and support the parts of your body that are constricted by fear. This new approach to our fearful places brings about change quickly. Your body responds and relief can be felt immediately. You learn to move breath into these areas, stay steady, and remain present as difficult emotions surface, shift and transform. The bands that constrict your life force and contort your body begin to loosen. You will have room to breathe! When you treat your fearful parts with attention and compassion, you allow the ‘wonderful’ back into your life.
Workshop 4: Walk in Beauty
Date: 29 October 2017 (Sunday)
Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm
To Walk in Beauty means to walk in harmony with all things — not only physically, but also with feelings and our inner wilderness. And with people, objects, animals…with life! Free yourself from whatever entraps you. In this workshop you will learn to open your receptors to perceive the Beauty in and around you and to think and act in a Beauty Way, which completely shifts your perception of life. You move from victim mode — everything bad happens to me — or judging mode — this is great, this sucks — to curiosity and a desire to discern the truth. Live in a Beauty Way — a way that is exhilarating, fulfilling and fascinating.
