This will be a very special weekend with the Forrest Yoga Symposium team. Join Erica, Leslie Pearlman, Denise Hopkins, and Kirsten Collins for some summer fun near the ocean. The intent for the weekend will be about bringing more pleasure, delight and fun into your life.  What better time and place for this?

Friday August 1: 6:00-8:30pm
“Digging for Pleasure”

Friday night will begin with calling in the 4 Directions to help set the intention.  After that, we will take to our mats to explore pleasure in lots of forms.  Feeling pleasure takes a willingness to let go of old guilt, comparisons and self criticisms – the stuff that keeps us stuck.  Through deep twists and hip opening poses, we will work through the initial layers of tension and emotions that block us from feeling more liberated. The result? Your legs will feel stronger, your feet more grounded, making pleasure in your body easier to access. This special class will be taught by Erica, Denise, Kirsten & Leslie.

Saturday August 2:  9:00-11:30am
“Tapping into Delight”

What do you do when you’re excited to see someone?  Throw your arms out!  What do you do when you’re running through a field for an embrace (at least in the movies!)? Throw your arms out!  When you’re enthused about something, your chest lifts – that’s the language of the body.  Tap into your capacity for delight by teaching your back to bend and your chest to lift.  Kirsten and Erica will charm you into learning to do this.  It will be – what else? – a complete delight.

Sunday August 3: 9:00-11:30am
“Fun with Flight”

Inversions and arm balancing poses are challenging and exciting. They rejuvenate the mind and body. They increase circulation of blood, oxygen, and energy, stimulating the endocrine and immune systems. More importantly, they offer an opportunity to defy all the things that weigh us down.  Denise & Leslie will help you learn the essential elements of these powerful poses in a way that will dissolve fear and create hopeful and playful space! Learn the skills of balance and then have fun applying them to your life.
