BackBending and Finding Connections with All Beings Workshop in Derbyshire

10am to 1pm: Forrest Yoga and Backbending
The first part of the day will look at principles of Forrest Yoga that allow a safe way to work with backbends. Explore how to create space in the core and connect to the feet and legs, so that backbends can be deepened in a therapeutic way. On a physical level the workshop looks at decompressing the lower back and at opening up the middle and upper back. Emotionally, feelings of vulnerability and compassion are explored. You’re invited to ground yourself and open the heart.
2-4pm: Connection with Other
The chest area is related, amongst other things, to connection with others. Meaningful relationships are born out of the ability to be anchored in oneself and then to risk being vulnerable. The afternoon will start with pranayama, a light asana practice and is then follo
