Forrest Yoga Masterclass: The Healing Powers Of Pleasure
As we evolve with our yoga practice and yoga industry, there is a large emphasis on showing your emotions, particularly vulnerability. What has happened in that evolution of our practice is that we may feel that we have to be vulnerable in order to be accepted. When working with pleasure we bring joy back into our personal growth, with regular injections of pleasure, working with emotions such as vulnerability or anxiety become more manageable. The focus of this workshop will address hip openers and inversions. This dynamic combination of movement patterns brings exhilaration into our cell tissue, thereby fueling is with the goodness that we need to deal with many things in life.

The Hips Don’t Lie
Our hips are the closest anatomical connection to the health of our nervous system when it comes to body language and our response to stress. This hip opening class is designed to support your work in managing stress, anxiety and other tensions that you store in your hips. Expect poses that will educate the practitioner in the many different directions that the hips open in and how we can breathe in a way that enables us to easier change our reactions and turn them into responses.

Anatomy of Hips *
(* this workshop should be booked as a set with the morning practice because the afternoon isn’t that great without the morning practice)
This overview of hip opening poses discusses the functional anatomy of hip opening poses through muscles testing, hands on assists, bodywork and re-assessing the difference that these manipulations make. We will be working with the anatomy of pigeon, head to ankle and splits.

Kindness is the New Black: Therapeutic Back Bends
Did you know that the one of the secrets to health, wealth & happiness is kindness? Did you know that most spiritual teachers eventually end up saying that it was kindness that was needed after all? This workshop is a space for us to be kind to ourselves & to each other. This method of practicing informs our personal growth in our poses and personal development as well as propagates our growth as a community. We will be exploring new ways of practicing poses that open the chest and shoulders in a seminar format and then putting that information experientially into our sequence.
